2024 marks 200 years of formation of District Bijnor in 1824. Our nation Bharat is named after King Bharat – son of King Dushyant and Queen Shakuntala who was born in Kanvashram in District Bijnor. Relics remain of the significant role district Bijnor played in the first awakening in 1857. The land is fertile and lush green farms can be seen. Rivers including Ganges and Malan bless the district that is at the foothold of Himalayas making it a perfect destination for ecotourism
The key objective is to rebrand the district and make it a tourism hub for neighboring areas including Delhi NCR and leverage its proximity to Delhi NCR (within 2 hours commute). With a target population of 100 Million within 2 hours travel, Bijnor can emerge as an attractive tourism destination. This will generate much needed jobs locally thus reversing the migration to metros. This 3-day festival aims to celebrate our glorious past, recent achievements, and our bright future. This holistic festival seeks to engage all the stake holders administration, elected representatives, professionals, business people, educators, local, state, national and even students and people at large and media international.
